Biography

Galen Reeves joined the faculty at Duke University in Fall 2013 as an Associate Professor with a joint appointment in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Department of Statistical Science. He completed his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley in 2011. Following his doctorate, he worked as a postdoctoral associate in the Departments of Statistics at Stanford University from 2011 to 2013. His research interests encompass various aspects of information theory, high-dimensional statistical inference, statistical signal processing, and machine learning. In recognition of his contributions to the field, he received the NSF CAREER Award in 2017. Throughout his career, he has actively engaged in numerous research projects leading to multiple publications in prestigious journals and conferences.
