Biography

Galia Tzvetkov is an Associate Professor of Practice in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Education at the University of Texas at Austin. She earned her Master's degree in Elite Sport Performance from the National Sports Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1992. Before joining the University of Texas, Galia was an adjunct faculty member at Austin Community College. Her teaching focuses on the history of sports, particularly the evolution of sports in Eastern Europe, tracing back to ancient Greece and Thrace.
