Dr. Galina Cornelisse

Biography

Galina Cornelisse is a Full Professor specializing in EU Law and Law & Technology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Her research focuses on the regulation of human mobility, borders, and the protection of fundamental rights, exploring the interplay between these law disciplines. She teaches a wide variety of courses ranging from fundamental rights in Europe, public international law, transnational law in a social context, to international weapons law. Furthermore, she coordinates LLM tracks at VU University in transnational legal studies and international technology law. In addition to her teaching and research activities, she is involved in various consultancy roles and editorial positions, including serving on the editorial board of the European Law Journal. Cornelisse holds a PhD in Law from the European University Institute in Florence and an LLM from Leiden University.
