Dr. Ganesh Kudva graduated from the National University of Singapore Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2011 and obtained Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK) in 2015. He completed his residency training in the Clinician-Scientist Track by 2020. Dr. Kudva has extensive experience working in various inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings, including the Institute of Mental Health, Changi General Hospital, and National University Hospital. Following his psychiatry training, he worked as a specialist at the Institute of Mental Health, where he was involved in the Early Psychosis Intervention Programme (EPIP) and managed an inpatient psychiatric ward. His research interests include General Adult Psychiatry, Adolescent Psychiatry, and he has significant experience in managing psychotic disorders, particularly among younger populations. Additionally, due to his work with the Singapore Armed Forces, Dr. Kudva has developed an interest in Military Psychiatry and has a special focus on helping individuals with anxiety disorders and gender dysphoria. He is a passionate educator, teaching psychiatry at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and has served as the Chief Resident for the National Psychiatry Residency Programme. Dr. Kudva has received the National Healthcare Group Teaching Award for Junior Doctors in 2019 for his contributions to teaching. He is actively involved in research and has published works in several fields, including suicidology, the impact of Covid-19 on mental health, and medical education.
