Biography

Gang Li collaborates extensively with investigators in biomedical research and public health, particularly in cancer research. He is a professor of biostatistics at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and serves as the director of the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center Biostatistics Shared Resource. Li also leads biostatistics for UCLA’s Center of Excellence in Pancreatic Diseases and co-directs biostatistics for an NIH-funded P01 program grant focused on stem-cell engineering in melanoma. His research interests include survival analysis, longitudinal data analysis with non-ignorable missing data, high-dimensional data analysis, and the design and analysis of clinical trials. Additionally, he is involved in the evaluation and development of biomarkers. Li is currently serving as an Associate Editor for the Biometrics Journal and is a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics and the American Statistical Association. He is also an Elected Member of the International Statistics Institute and a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society.
