Garrett Brown is a Certified Industrial Hygienist with a Master of Public Health degree from UC Berkeley’s School of Public Health. With over 20 years of experience, he worked as a field compliance officer for the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA), eventually serving as the Special Assistant Chief of the Division. In 1993, he volunteered as the Coordinator of the Maquiladora Health & Safety Network, where he organized workplace safety projects for worker community organizations in Mexico, Central America, Indonesia, China, and Bangladesh.
