Biography

Garrett Joseph Nicolai is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Linguistics at the University of British Columbia. He is also the Director of the Master of Data Science - Computational Linguistics program. His research interests encompass the application of computational tools for the analysis and development of under-resourced languages, as well as the role of qualitative analysis and deep learning methods in linguistic studies.
