Biography

Garrick Forman received his PhD in Neuromechanics from Brock University. His research focuses on quantifying the physical demands of PC gaming and its impact on muscle fatigue and fine motor function of the distal upper extremity. Forman has completed applied ergonomics studies with industry partners such as General Motors Canada, Notion Medical, and the Waterloo Regional Police. His current research centers on the biomechanics and ergonomics of esports, with the primary goal of extending player careers while reducing pain and injury and maximizing performance. His research interests include Esports Biomechanics and Ergonomics, Neuromuscular Control, Distal Upper Limb Impact Fatigue, Fine Motor Performance, Clinical Biomechanics, Motor Control, Motor Learning, Balance, and Gait.
