Biography

Garth Davies is an Associate Professor at the School of Criminology at Simon Fraser University and serves as the Associate Director of the Institute on Violence, Extremism and Terrorism. His current research areas focus on risk assessment, violent radicalization, social psychology of radicalization, statistical modeling and projection of violent right-wing extremism, misogynist terrorism, and understanding conspiracy theories and extremist narratives. He is also known for testifying on national security issues before the Canadian Parliament's Standing Senate Committee on National Security and Defence. His research interests encompass terrorism, crime in communities, housing crime, policing, criminological theory, and statistical research methods.
