Gary Cook trained in radiology and nuclear medicine in London, completing an MD focused on quantitative 18F-fluoride PET for metabolic bone diseases at King’s College London. In 2011, he was appointed Chair of Molecular Imaging within the School of Biomedical Engineering and Imaging Sciences, Cancer Imaging Department, and the KCL and Guy’s & St Thomas’ PET Centre, where he also serves as an honorary consultant physician. His research interests encompass the evaluation of novel SPECT and PET tracers in oncology, multimodality imaging for the measurement of tumor heterogeneity, and the development of imaging biomarkers. He is actively involved in the advancement of oncologic hybrid imaging techniques such as Total Body PET and PET/MRI.
