Gary H. Perdew is the H. Thomas & Dorothy Willits Hallowell Chair in Agricultural Sciences and Director of the Center for Molecular Toxicology and Carcinogenesis at Penn State University. His recent work investigates the AHR's role in barrier tissues and its potential as a pharmaceutical target, including explorations of AHR's ability to enhance metastatic potential in aggressive tumors and adjunct methods of cancer therapy. He has received multiple accolades, including the Penn State Faculty Scholar Medal and the NIH R35 RIVER Outstanding Investigator Award, and has over 154 publications with an impact index of 65.
