Biography

Gauri Joshi is an Associate Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Carnegie Mellon University since September 2017. Prior to this, she worked as a Research Staff Member at IBM T. J. Watson Research Center. She received her Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in June 2016, and she holds both B.Tech and M.Tech degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, obtained in 2010. Her accolades include the IBM Faculty Award (2018), the Thesis Prize in Computer Science from MIT (2012), the Institute Gold Medal from IIT Bombay (2010), and the Claude Shannon Research Assistantship (2015-16).
