Biography

Gavin Halm teaches media making history courses across domains including 2D/3D animation, production of virtual gaming worlds, and film/TV industries production. His recent work has spanned virtual reality entertainment experiences at multiple Hollywood studios. Gavin graduated from UCLA’s School of the Arts with an MFA in Media Arts in 2014. He is also an artist whose work tends toward traditional media such as drawing and painting, and includes work in abstract computer-based animation. He holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Computing Arts from UCSD’s Visual Arts.
