Dr. Gavin Weeks

Biography

Gavin Weeks is an Associate Fellow at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and serves as a tutor and faculty member in the Oxford Strategic Leadership Programme, leading open leadership development programmes globally. He collaborates with Thompson Harrison, a London-based leadership and organizational development consultancy, where he designs and facilitates leadership programmes, coaches individuals, and works with senior leadership teams to enhance culture and purpose. Gavin's professional focus revolves around vitality: helping leaders sustain energy, engagement, and growth in a fast-changing context, applying principles of leadership in his coaching approach. His career originated in clinical psychology, starting within the National Health Service, coupled with private practice where he facilitated resilience programmes for various organizations and served as a performance psychologist in professional sports. He transitioned to SABMiller in 2012, where he was part of the global Talent Management team, particularly concentrating on executive assessment and development. Gavin departed from SABMiller in 2017 to work independently as an associate with Thompson Harrison. He holds a doctorate (PsychD) in Clinical Psychology from Surrey University, an MSc in Neuropsychology and a BSc in Psychology from University College London.
