Geetha Gopalakrishnan, MD, joined the faculty in 2001 as an assistant professor in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. Currently, she is coordinating studies to evaluate bone complications in HIV-infected individuals and is developing trials for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis among this population. Additionally, Gopalakrishnan is involved in collaborations with the International Health Institute at Brown University and the Y.R. Gaitonde Center for AIDS Research and Education in Chennai, India, focusing on endocrine complications related to HIV.
