Gemma Malungahu is a Pacific Research Fellow at the Department of Pacific Affairs at the Australian National University. With a background in health sciences and public health qualitative research, she undertook her undergraduate and most of her postgraduate studies at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Dr. Malungahu has strong ties to her Tongan heritage as well as Samoan ancestry from her maternal side.
