Dr. Gemma Moore

Biography

Gemma Moore is an interdisciplinary applied social scientist whose research education emphasizes the development of approaches and methodologies for the collective production of knowledge in the field of sustainable, healthy urban environments. Her work involves practices of participation and co-production in engagement research processes. She has been integral in developing programmes and projects to collaborate with researchers, policymakers, and community groups, including not-for-profit organisations, to co-produce knowledge aimed at addressing complex urban challenges. Gemma has led key components of the large collective research initiative 'Complex Urban Systems Sustainability Health', which explores negotiated evidence forms applied in complex multi-stakeholder urban health initiatives. In 2022, she became a member of the Bartlett Faculty leadership team as Faculty Impact Lead. Additionally, she leads the UCL colleagues in the Compost London initiative, an engaged learning programme (the Evaluation Exchange) that supports organisations and teams in building research evaluation capacity.
