Biography

Geoff Dyer is a writer and author of four novels and numerous non-fiction books covering a diverse range of subjects, including jazz, World War, photography, D. H. Lawrence, and Andrei Tarkovsky’s film Stalker. His recent book, 'Days Roger Federer', reflects on themes mainly related to Nietzsche and Beethoven. Dyer's works have received several awards and have been translated into 24 languages, which underscores his international recognition as an accomplished author. His publications include acclaimed titles such as 'Ways of Telling', 'Missing Somme', 'Beautiful: Book Jazz', and 'White Sands: Experiences from the World'. Dyer's writing often bridges the gap between fiction and non-fiction, showcasing his unique narrative style and intellectual depth. He has been honored as a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences since January 2015 and received the Windham-Campbell Prize for non-fiction in the 2015-2016 cycle.
