Biography

Geoff is a Principal Research Fellow specializing in Evidence Synthesis at the Southampton Health Technology Assessments Centre (SHTAC) within the School of Healthcare Enterprise and Innovation. He held a three-year tenure as the school's Deputy Head (Research) from 2002 to 2005 and initiated the School's Research Innovation Community Practice. At SHTAC, he coordinates teams of systematic reviewers and health economists producing critical Evidence Review Reports for the National Institute for Health Care Excellence (NICE) Technology Appraisals Programme. His background in environmental research risk assessment contributes to his activities with the Collaboration for Environmental Evidence, a not-for-profit organization that promotes best practices in environmental evidence reviews. He is the co-editor of the Collaboration for Environmental Evidence Guidelines and a member of editorial boards for the Environmental Evidence journal and the Evidence-Based Toxicology journal, and has been invited to be a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee for the Evidence-Based Toxicology Collaborative.
