Dr. Geoffrey Dervin

Biography

Geoffrey Dervin is a Full Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Ottawa, specializing in Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a clinician investigator in the Clinical Epidemiology Program with extensive training in orthopaedic sport medicine and general orthopaedics. Dervin completed his fellowship training at Sportmed SA in Adelaide, Australia, in 1994, followed by residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Ottawa in 1993. He earned his medical doctorate from the University of Ottawa in 1988 and holds a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology from the same institution, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Cornell University. His research interests include osteoarthritis, joint preserving surgery, and knee ligament injuries.
