Biography

Geoffrey Dobson is an adjunct faculty member at the Integrated Innovation Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. He earned his Ph.D. in Societal Computing from Carnegie Mellon University in 2022. With over twenty years of professional experience in engineering technology, he has held various roles ranging from software engineer to organization director. His work has included software projects supporting medical devices, missile testing, data centers, and simulation. For the past seven years, he has led a team working on U.S. Army cyber warfare research and development. Prior to this, Dobson served 17 years in the Air Force, where he was a developmental engineer and cyber operations officer. He is currently stationed at the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, where he oversees and advises on cyber modeling and simulation projects.
