Dr. Geoffrey Goodwin

Biography

Geoffrey Goodwin is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania. His research primarily focuses on decision processes and social cultural psychology, with specific interests in social cognition, moral psychology, and reasoning. He teaches various courses including Social Psychology and Proseminar in Social Psychology. Professor Goodwin has contributed significantly to the understanding of how individuals make moral decisions and judgments in social contexts. His work has implications for both theoretical advancements in psychology and practical applications in societal issues. He is currently involved in advising graduate students and is accepting new graduate students for the Fall 2026 term. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Queensland and earned his Ph.D. in Psychology from Princeton University.
