Biography

Geoffrey Maulion is a part-time lecturer focused on teaching Revit design from a professional perspective. He has over 13 years of experience as a project architect with Flad Architects, working on a diverse set of project types, including healthcare and higher education buildings. Geoffrey was involved in the development of BIM design tools and played significant roles in documentation, coordination, and collaboration processes while innovating ways to visualize design. He is currently developing new processes that leverage the latest BIM technologies to innovate practice workflows and communicate design intent. As a Project BIM Lead for a significant project with DHS, he successfully led an integrated design team, which included collaboration among three architectural offices, three MEP engineering offices, and two structural offices. Geoffrey has developed innovative and efficient collaboration methods within BIM, including clash detection during the design phase, quantity verification, and quality management. He has also been a speaker at Autodesk University in Las Vegas on BIM project management and at BIMShowLive in London on clash detection management, and he has lectured at various academic and architectural venues on BIM, architectural workflows, and innovative technologies.
