Dr. Geoffrey Shiflett

Biography

Geoffrey R. Shiflett earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley in 1978, where he also completed his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1974. He obtained his B.S. in Engineering Applied Science from Yale University in 1973. His research interests include kinematics, dynamics of mechanical systems, computer-aided design, optimal design techniques, and micro-electromechanical systems. As an Associate Professor in the Department of Aerospace Mechanical Engineering at the University of Southern California, Shiflett has contributed significantly to the field of mechanical engineering and has been involved in various academic and research initiatives within the Viterbi School of Engineering. His expertise in mechanical engineering is supported by his extensive educational background and numerous publications in the area of mechanical systems engineering.
