Biography

Geoffrey Sonn, MD, is a board-certified urologist specializing in the treatment of prostate and kidney cancer. His clinical focus includes cancer imaging, MRI-Ultrasound fusion targeted prostate biopsy, and robotic surgery for prostate and kidney cancers. Born in Washington State and raised in Georgetown, Washington D.C., he graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown before moving to the West Coast for medical school at UCLA, where he completed a six-year urology residency at Stanford. His research interests include improving prostate cancer diagnosis through artificial intelligence methods and developing new imaging techniques to aid in the clinical decision-making process regarding treatment options. Sonn continues to work towards developing innovative methods to diagnose and treat urologic cancers, contributing significantly to the field of urologic oncology.
