Dr. Geoffrey Von Oeyen

Biography

Geoffrey von Oeyen is an Associate Professor in Practice at the University of Southern California (USC) School of Architecture. He holds a Master of Architecture (MArch) from Harvard University Graduate School of Design (GSD), along with a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in History and Philosophy of Architecture from the University of Cambridge, and an AB with Honors in Urban Studies from Stanford University. His professional work includes founding Geoffrey von Oeyen Design and serving as a Principal/Partner at von Oeyen Architects. He has previously been associated with Gehry Partners, LLP, where he contributed to significant international projects like the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris and the UTS Business School in Sydney. Von Oeyen has received numerous accolades, including the Architectural League Prize, and has been actively involved in academia, teaching at institutions such as UC Berkeley and lecturing at Harvard and the University of Michigan. He is recognized for his contributions to architectural education, particularly in the areas of design studios and the integration of environmental sustainability in architecture.
