Georg Walter Wink is an Associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen’s Faculty of Humanities, specializing in Cultural Studies and Latin America. His research focuses on cultural expressions, historical transfers, and (trans)national identity constructions within sociopolitical contexts. Wink holds a doctorate in Cultural Studies, and his interdisciplinary approach integrates cultural, literary, historical, and anthropological studies. He has served as coordinator for the Iberian Latin American Studies Forum and is the head of the Centre for the Study of Nationalism. Wink leads the research initiative 'New Approaches and Synergies in Nordic Latin American Studies', building collaborations among five Nordic universities. His teaching contributions encompass a broad range of undergraduate and graduate courses in Latin American and Portuguese-Brazilian studies, developed new programs, and supervised numerous theses.
