Biography

Georg Winterberger studied Social Cultural Anthropology, Science Religion History at the University of Zurich from 2005 to 2010. He published an ethnography based on research in Cameroon titled "Hospital Manyemen". His PhD study focused on livelihood strategies in Myanmar, and he has obtained further qualifications in project management and public management, earning a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Public Management. Winterberger has been actively involved in the Association of Non-Professorial Academic Staff at the University of Zurich (VAUZ) where he served as co-president from 2012 to 2019 and also as president of the actionuni, which represents mid-level staff and research staff in Swiss universities.
