Biography

George Jojo Boateng is a Computer Scientist, Engineer, Educator, and Social Entrepreneur recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe in 2023, IBM New Creators in 2022, and MIT Technology Review’s 35 Innovators Under 35 in 2021. He specializes in digital biomarkers as the Core Director of Wearable AI Rheumatoid Arthritis Management (WARAM) and teaches the #AI4Impact course at ETH Zurich. His research spans ubiquitous computing, applied machine learning, mobile health, and education, resulting in over 35 peer-reviewed publications. As the CEO and co-founder of Kwame AI Inc., he drives innovation with AI personal knowledge assistants aimed at enhancing productivity for various professionals. Boateng also participates in community initiatives focused on AI education in Africa and has previously held roles at the University of Cambridge and Amazon in applied science. He completed his PhD in Wearable AI at ETH Zurich and holds both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from Dartmouth College, respectively.
