General George W. Casey, Jr. enjoyed a 41-year career in the Army, graduating from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service in 1970. He was an accomplished soldier and authority on strategic leadership. As Army Chief of Staff, he led the nation's largest complex organizations during extraordinary periods in history, widely credited with restoring balance to the war-weary Army and leading its transformation to remain relevant in the 21st Century. Prior to his tenure from July 2004 to February 2007, he commanded the Multi-National Force in Iraq, consisting of a coalition of more than 30 countries, guiding the mission through its toughest days. Currently, he lectures internationally on leadership to leaders in national and multinational corporations as well as in business schools. He serves on numerous corporate boards, supporting servicemen, women, veterans, and their families. Additionally, he teaches international relations at the Korbel School in Denver. Casey published a book, Strategic Reflections, from Operation Iraqi Freedom, covering his experiences in Iraq from July 2004 to 2007, as well as articles on leadership such as "Leading in a VUCA World" published in Fortune Magazine and contributions to various leadership texts.
