Biography

Georgios Exarchakos is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology. His areas of expertise include peer-to-peer (P2P) computing, Data Mining, and Machine Learning. His research interests further extend to demand-driven resource discovery, network reconfiguration, topology adaptation to capacity demands, and swarm intelligence, focusing on self-awareness in large-scale networks resembling P2P systems. Exarchakos is involved in researching the dynamics of self-organization among nodes within networks, predictive networks, gossip protocols, overlay networks, and the adaptivity of content-based networks concerning complexity and epidemic concerns. He received his MSc in advanced computing from Imperial College, London, and his PhD in P2P computing from the University of Surrey in 2008. After completing his studies, he worked as a researcher, post-graduate advisor, and teaching assistant. He initially joined Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) as a postdoctoral researcher in 2009, focusing on autonomous networks, and became an assistant professor in 2011.
