Biography

George Hartner joined the Department of Economics at the University of Regina in 2010 as a sessional instructor and became a tenured Lecturer in 2013. He teaches a wide variety of upper-level economics classes, including research and writing, while occasionally leading introductory courses. In addition to his academic experience, George has extensive professional experience as a senior analyst and economic consultant, specializing in strategic financial management, operational management, economic evaluation, and applied policy analysis. He earned his Bachelor of Science in International Economics in 2002 and a Master of Science in Financial Economics from Florida Atlantic University in 2003.
