Biography

George Kardomateas is a Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. His extensive research encompasses various areas in aerospace engineering, particularly focusing on advanced (composite) structures, structural stability, and mechanics of nano-structured materials. Kardomateas earned his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and both his M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a Fellow of ASME and holds several accolades for his contributions to the field of aerospace engineering.
