Biography

George Kimball, ’78, is a lecturer at the University of Michigan Law School and a member of the technology outsourcing practice at Wiggin Dana LLP. He has over 30 years of experience in private practice in California, having worked with prestigious firms such as Latham & Watkins, Arnold & Porter, and Baker & McKenzie. Since joining Wiggin Dana in 2015, he has focused on advising clients on complex technology transactions, particularly in outsourcing information technology and business processes across various industries. At Hewlett-Packard, where he served as associate general counsel, Kimball was instrumental in creating and leading worldwide training programs for legal and sales professionals in HP’s services business, including its cloud security initiatives. His legal expertise encompasses international transactions, business disputes, real estate transactions, trials, and appeals in commercial, constitutional law, and general representation for software and manufacturing companies. He authored 'Outsourcing Agreements: Practical Guide' (Oxford, 2010) and has been recognized as a leader in his field by Chambers Global, Chambers USA, and Legal 500. Kimball is a member of the bars in California, Michigan, and New York, and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court.
