Biography

George Voneiff is a Professor of Practice in Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M University. He obtained his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1992 and 1983, respectively. His research interests include applied petroleum economics, unconventional plays, statistical analysis of large datasets, unconventional formations, and large-scale production data analysis using empirical techniques. Voneiff has been recognized for his contributions to the field through various awards and memberships, including being a member of the Texas A&M University Petroleum Engineering Academy of Distinguished Graduates in 2013. His innovative approaches to petroleum engineering have earned him considerable acclaim, including the Sproule Lifetime Achievement Award from the Canadian Society Unconventional Gas in 2005 and recognition as a finalist for the Ernst & Young Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year in 2004. His leadership also contributed to his involvement as a joint owner of the Aggie 100 #1 company recognized by Texas A&M University Mays Business School in 2005.
