Dr. George Zangaro

Biography

George Zangaro is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in executive healthcare leadership across public, private, and academic sectors. He has a proven track record in developing and implementing educational courses at both the graduate and doctoral levels, aligning them with market needs. Zangaro's expertise includes health care workforce analysis, strategic decision-making, and health policy direction. He has significant experience in survey design and data analysis. Prior to his current role, he served as the Chief Policy Scientific Officer for the American Association of Colleges of Nursing and Dean of the College of Nursing at Walden University. Additionally, he was the Director of the National Center for Health Workforce Analysis at the Health Resources Services Administration, where he led efforts to forecast supply and demand projections for health professionals. With a focus on nursing workforce research and systematic reviews, he has contributed to various funded research studies throughout his career. Zangaro retired from the U.S. Navy after 25 years of active service, adding to his commitment to education and healthcare.
