Born and raised in Montreal, I completed my BA at Concordia University in Women's Studies and History. I pursued my MA at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. I chose the University of Victoria for my doctoral studies, which has been an enormous gift. My thematic interests include race, racism, antiracism, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, colonialism, decolonization, children, youth, and social justice. As a Canadianist and Europeanist, my work focuses on understanding the history of Canada in conjunction with global developments. I also collect factsheets and art projects aimed at distilling complex academic works into accessible content, and I create resources like the Antiracist Workshop that provide overviews of the functions of racism in society and discuss anti-racist strategies.
