Biography

Georgie Fleming is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Psychology, UNSW. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Honours) at the University of Sydney and a combined Ph.D./Master of Psychology (Clinical) at UNSW. As a Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Fleming is a certified therapist and trainer in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and a member of the PCIT International Research Taskforce. Her research focuses on improving treatment access and efficacy for young children with conduct problems, such as non-compliance, temper tantrums, and aggression. Her doctoral research evaluated the outcomes of PCIT delivered via video teleconferencing, now known as Internet-delivered PCIT (iPCIT). Currently, she is researching the outcomes of school-delivered PCIT that involves teacher participation. Dr. Fleming is particularly interested in understanding moderators of treatment-related change, specifically how to enhance treatment outcomes for young children exhibiting elevated callous-unemotional traits.
