Biography

Dr. Gerald Adams joined Queen's Department of Medicine Faculty in 1990 as an interventional cardiologist. He started the Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) program at Kingston Health Sciences Centre in 2000 and has led the team to establish a PCI lab in Ontario, providing 24/7 Primary PCI for STEMI patients. In addition to his busy clinical practice, Dr. Adams has served in several important administrative roles within Cardiology, including Postgraduate Training Program Director, Division Chair, and Cardiology Service Chief. Although he now holds an adjunct faculty appointment, he remains an active clinical member of the PCI lab, engaging in both inpatient services and outpatient stress testing.
