Biography

Gerald M. Goodman is an Emeritus Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, specializing in Clinical Psychology. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, where he developed a joint degree in Clinical Psychology and Human Development. Professor Goodman has a strong focus on research in areas such as Communication, Close Relationships, and Relationship Science. His research interests also include help-intended talk, companionship in therapy, and interventions for PTSD. Additionally, he explores person-perception issues, particularly with recognition of others' intentions during conversations.
