Biography

Gerald Mak completed his Bachelor of Medical Studies and Bachelor of Science (Medicine) Honours Doctor Medicine at the University of New South Wales in 2017. His research initially focused on HIV pathogenesis and its interaction with the gut microbiome, but has since shifted to urology. He is currently involved in projects investigating the role of MRI in bladder cancer and the management of prostate cancer. In addition to research, Gerald actively engages in teaching, where he tutors on common urology disorders and participates in bedside teaching and a peer mentoring program.
