Biography

Gerardo Otero is a Professor Emeritus in the School for International Studies at Simon Fraser University, where he has significantly contributed to research in social sciences. He was the 2021/2022 president of the Latin American Studies Association (LASA), organizing the 40th congress, which focused on the theme of 'Socioenvironmental Polarization and Rivalry among Great Powers'.
