Gerome Manson is an Assistant Professor at Queen's University, specializing in Motor Control, Multisensory Integration, and Neuromechanics. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto and l’Université d’Aix Marseille, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto. His research focuses on understanding how sensory information influences the planning and control of goal-directed actions, particularly the processes that differentiate movements made toward somatosensory targets versus external objects. Manson employs a combination of sensory manipulations, motion tracking, and neuroimaging techniques to investigate these questions. He is currently looking for undergraduate student volunteers to gain research experience and is accepting new graduate students at both the Master’s and Ph.D. levels. His recent publications address themes such as sensorimotor transformations, multisensory perception, and neural activation related to motor learning and action execution.
