Biography

Gerry Kerr is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean of Programs at the Odette School of Business at the University of Windsor, where he has been a faculty member since 2001. He holds a Ph.D. from York University’s Schulich School of Business. Dr. Kerr specializes in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management, teaching at both graduate and undergraduate levels. His research interests encompass a variety of topics within these fields including Diversification Performance, Immigrant/Ethnic Entrepreneurship, Small-firm Management, Corporate Strategy, Corporate Level Strategy, and Competitive Advantage. He has published numerous articles in esteemed journals such as Business Horizons, Frontiers in Entrepreneurship Research, and the Journal of Developmental Entrepreneurship. Dr. Kerr has received multiple teaching awards, recognizing his commitment to excellence in education across undergraduate, graduate, and executive programs. He has also held leadership roles within the Odette School, including Chair of the Strategy and Entrepreneurship Area and M.B.A. Program Director. Furthermore, he is an active member of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (CCSBE/CCMPE).
