Dr. Gervase Bushe

Biography

Gervase Bushe is a Professor in the Management Organizational Studies at Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business. He specializes in leadership, organizational change, and development, along with group teamwork and consulting on change agency. His notable achievements include co-authoring the influential book "Dialogic Organization Development: Theory and Practice of Transformational Change" (2015), which has been translated into multiple languages. In 2009, he published "Clear Leadership", which has reached an international audience. Gervase has earned the Douglas McGregor Award for research excellence twice, recognizing his contributions to the field. Aside from academic pursuits, he is an experienced consultant, working with major organizations such as Business Objects, Telus, and General Motors. Gervase's research interests focus predominantly on leadership development, organizational change, and the dynamics of generative change. He is also a father, enjoys hiking in the North Shore mountains, and plays guitar in his spare time.
