Biography

Gholam R. Amin is an Associate Professor of Management Science in the Faculty of Business at the University of New Brunswick in Saint John, Canada. He has been with UNB since 2016, following his tenure at Sultan Qaboos University in Oman, where he earned a distinguished research award for his exceptional performance. Dr. Amin received his Ph.D. in Operations Research from Azad University in 2003. His contributions to academia have been recognized with the UNB Merit Award for the 2019-2020 academic year and the Department Award for Teaching Excellence in 2024. He is an Associate Editor for the IMA Journal of Management Mathematics and an editor of SN Business and Economics at Springer. Dr. Amin is actively involved in international conferences and workshops, sharing his expertise in Operations Research. His research interests focus on Performance Measurement and Management, Mathematical Programming, and Productivity and Efficiency Analysis, with a particular emphasis on Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Inverse Optimization. He has published over 90 articles in prominent journals, accumulating more than 3200 citations for his work.
