Biography

Giacomo Zambelli is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the London School of Economics. He received his PhD in Algorithms, Combinatorics, and Optimization from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University. Zambelli joined LSE in 2010, bringing previous experience as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Waterloo and as an Assistant Professor in the Mathematics Department at the University of Padova. His research is mostly theoretical and includes polyhedral methods and the development of efficient algorithms for structured optimization problems, particularly in the context of general integer programming and cutting planes methods.
