Dr. Gill Schierhout

Biography

Gill Schierhout is a mixed methods health systems researcher with a focus on evaluating innovative policy reforms and health programs. With expertise in evidence synthesis, evaluation, and health systems research, she collaborates with multidisciplinary teams across various countries, particularly in the Asia Pacific and Africa. Her interests lie in primary health system reform, particularly its impact on equity and access to care for disadvantaged groups. Gill has extensive experience working closely with health system stakeholders globally and has acted as a trusted advisor to the Australian Aid program in designing and evaluating health investments in the Asia-Pacific region. She has been published widely and has led numerous grants focused on improving access to quality primary care.
