Biography

Gilles Chemla is a Professor of Finance at Imperial College Business School and co-director of Imperial's Centre for Financial Technology. He is actively involved in research and has held positions as a research fellow at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique and the Centre for Economic Policy Research. He is also a senior research fellow at the Rimini Centre for Economic Analysis. Prior to joining Imperial College, Chemla was an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia, and has professional experience in corporate finance at BNP Paribas and as an independent consultant. He holds a PhD in economics from the London School of Economics and has taught a diverse range of executive education courses.
