Biography

Gilles Reinhardt obtained an M.Sc. in Systems Sciences from the University of Ottawa in 1990 and a Ph.D. in Operations Management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in 1998. His master's studies focused on bio-economic modeling while his doctoral studies concentrated on transportation energy. From 2000 to 2015, he taught Operations, Supply Chain Management, and Sport Operations to undergraduate and graduate students at DePaul University in Chicago and delivered seminars and courses in various countries, including Finland, Thailand, the Czech Republic, New Zealand, Taiwan, and Bahrain. Before his doctoral studies, he worked as a survey methodologist at Statistics Canada. Professor Reinhardt's research interests include theoretical operations management, healthcare, and sport management. He has developed applied congestion management models across transportation, energy, cost allocation, e-commerce, inventory control, and medical care delivery. His work has been presented at international conferences and published in high-impact journals such as the Journal Operational Research Society, Decision Sciences, Naval Research Logistics, and others.
